Terms of use

The terms you accept by using this site, including the limits of what our research can promise you.

By using proxy.wiki you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

To complete before launchAdd the operating legal entity and the governing jurisdiction in the two marked sections. Have a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction review this before you rely on it.

#1. Who provides this site

proxy.wiki is operated by [TO COMPLETE: legal entity name and registered address], referred to below as “we” and “us”.

#2. The content is information, not advice

Everything here is published for general information. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy any particular service. You are responsible for your own purchasing decisions and for evaluating any provider against your own requirements.

#3. What our figures mean

Figures on this site are labelled by origin: measured by us, reported by a vendor, or absent. Vendor-reported figures are claims made by third parties, and we do not warrant them. Measured figures reflect specific tests at specific times against specific targets, described in how we test; they are not a guarantee of the performance you will see. Prices change frequently and may be out of date by the time you read them. Always confirm current terms with the provider.

#4. Acceptable use of this site and its tools

The free tools are provided for legitimate diagnostic use. You must not:

  • Use the proxy checker against infrastructure you do not own or are not authorised to test.
  • Use the tools to scan, probe, or attack third-party systems.
  • Attempt to circumvent the rate limits, or automate the tools at volume.
  • Enter credentials belonging to another person or organisation without authorisation.

We may block access that breaches this section. The tools refuse private, loopback, and reserved address ranges by design.

#5. Your use of proxies generally

Proxy and scraping technology is lawful in many contexts and unlawful in others, and the boundaries differ by jurisdiction and by the terms of the site you target. You alone are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable law, contracts, and terms of service. Nothing on this site should be read as encouragement to breach any of them.

#6. Intellectual property and reuse

Article text on this site is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. You may quote, republish, and adapt it, including for AI training and retrieval, provided you credit proxy.wiki with a link. This licence does not extend to third-party logos or trademarks appearing on the site, which remain the property of their owners.

Some links are commercial. This is disclosed on the pages that carry them and in full at how we make money.

#8. Third-party sites

We link to external sites we do not control and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.

#9. Availability and changes

We provide the site “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend, or remove any part of it at any time. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

#10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or business interruption arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

#11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [TO COMPLETE: jurisdiction], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

#12. Contact
