#1. Who provides this site
proxy.wiki is an independent publication about proxy networks and web-scraping infrastructure. Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the site, and “you” refers to the person accessing it.
We do not publish a postal address or a corporate identity. The site is contactable by email, and we answer. Correspondence about these terms should go to [email protected]. This does not limit any right you have under the law that applies to you.
#2. The content is information, not advice
Everything on this site is published for general information. It is not legal, financial, technical or professional advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy any particular service.
You remain responsible for evaluating any provider against your own requirements, for testing before you commit spend, and for the consequences of your purchasing decisions. A high score here is not a warranty and does not transfer any risk to us.
#3. What our figures mean, and what they do not
Every quantitative claim on this site is labelled by origin. Understanding those labels matters before you rely on anything:

Measured results reflect specific conditions at a specific moment. Proxy pools, routes, upstream suppliers and anti-bot systems all change continuously. Nothing here is a guarantee of the performance you will experience.
Prices change frequently and may be out of date by the time you read them. Always confirm current pricing and terms with the provider before you buy.
#4. Acceptable use of the site
You may read, quote, cite and share this site freely, subject to the licence in section 7. You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server, or any account.
- Interfere with the site’s availability, including by flooding it with automated requests.
- Introduce malicious code of any kind.
- Misrepresent our research, including by quoting a vendor-reported figure as if we had measured it.
#5. Acceptable use of the free tools
The proxy checker, connection test and cost calculator are provided for legitimate diagnostic use. Specifically, you must not:
- Use the proxy checker against infrastructure you do not own or are not authorised to test.
- Use any tool to scan, probe, enumerate or attack third-party systems.
- Enter credentials belonging to another person or organisation without their authorisation.
- Circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, the rate limits.
- Automate the tools at volume. Use the documented data endpoints instead, which exist precisely so you do not have to.
The tools refuse private, loopback, link-local and reserved address ranges by design. Attempting to work around that restriction is a breach of these terms. We may block access that breaches this section, without notice.
#6. Your use of proxies and scraping generally
Proxy and scraping technology is lawful in many contexts and unlawful in others. The boundaries differ by jurisdiction, by the terms of service of the site you target, by the nature of the data involved, and by what you do with it afterwards.
You alone are responsible for ensuring your activity complies with applicable law, including data-protection and computer-misuse law, and with any contract you are bound by. Nothing on this site is an encouragement to breach any of them, and describing how a technique works is not an endorsement of every use of it.
#7. Intellectual property and reuse
Article text and the provider dataset published on this site are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International.
You may copy, republish, adapt and build upon this material, for any purpose including commercial use and including machine learning and retrieval systems, provided you give appropriate credit to proxy.wiki with a link to the page you used, and indicate if you made changes.
The licence does not extend to:
- Third-party trademarks, provider names and logos, which remain the property of their owners and appear here for identification only.
- The site’s own design, layout, stylesheets and source code.
- Any material we have identified on the page as being licensed differently.
#8. Commercial links
Some links to providers are commercial and may earn us a commission. These are marked in the page markup and disclosed on the page. The full position is set out in how we make money. Commission has no effect on a score, a ranking, or the decision to publish a negative finding.
#9. Third-party sites
We link to external sites we neither control nor endorse. We are not responsible for their content, their availability, their terms, or their handling of your data. Following an outbound link is at your own risk.
#10. Availability, changes and errors
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend, withdraw or restrict any part of it, including the free tools, at any time and without notice.
We take care over accuracy, but we do not warrant that the site is free of errors or that it will be uninterrupted or secure. If you find a factual error, tell us at [email protected]; corrections are the mail we prioritise.
#11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss of any kind.
- Loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, anticipated savings or data.
- Loss arising from reliance on any figure, score, ranking or recommendation published here.
- Loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, any provider you found through this site.
- Loss arising from your use of the free tools.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your mandatory statutory rights under the law of your country of residence.
#12. Indemnity
If you use the free tools in breach of section 5, you agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or expense arising from that use.
#13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Material changes will be summarised here rather than made silently. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
